Dorset Attractions

Dorset is blessed with some of the best weather in England. Its position on the south coast of England, and the influence of the sea, raise the average temperature. The weather in the south west means that the summers are usually long and hot with plenty of sunshine. The good weather usually stretches into Autumn, and winters are often mild. Spring sees Dorset's countryside at its best. Dorset is a year round attraction.

Dorset is situated on the south coast of England and its rolling hills and fertile river valleys combined with a dramatic coastline make it one of the best counties in south west England. Dorset attractions are among the best and offer something for everyone. There are superb stately homes, manor houses and glorious gardens to visit. There are castles and abbeys to enjoy, and there are museums and exhibitions to fascinate everyone. There are steam railways and steam fairs for the nostalgic and the enthusiast. There are adventure parks and farm parks for the young. There are animal and marine sanctuaries to wonder at. There are beauty spots and country parks to ramble through. It really is the best in south west tourism.
