Many of Tutankhamun's major treasures have been specially recreated using the original materials where possible. Included in these magnificent treasures are the gold funerary mask of Tutankhamun, the figure of Tutankhamun the Harpooner, and the golden throne of Tutankhamun.

Tutankhamun Picture Gallery All the exhibits have been fashioned with care by detailed reference to the original antiquities, photographic records and precise measurements and diagrams. Craftsmen and artists have recreated the treasures by using, wherever feasible, materials and methods used in making the originals. The treasures shown in this exhibition are identical, as possible, to the originals now in Egypt.

In addition there are some exquisitely recreated jewels of Tutankhamun on show. These include the famous golden collars of the young king which were found wrapped in the bandages of his mummy, as well as an beautiful falcon headed gold and jewelled collar found on the mummy. Perhaps the finest piece on view is a winged scarab pectoral pendant that was found by Howard Carter in one of the many boxes, which contained the personal possessions of the king. The wonderful pendant is made of gold inlaid in with lapis, lazuli, turquoise carnelian and jasper.
