There has been much debate about how Tutankhamun died, whether it was of natural causes, an accident or murder. The truth is still not known. The suddenness of his death would suggest that it was not from an illness but was either as a result of some accident, possibly whilst hunting, or as a result of an attempted murder.

Tutankhamun Picture Gallery X-rays of the Tutankhamun's mummy showed fragments of bone inside his skull, prompting speculation that the boy king had died from a blow to the head. However early in 2005 the mummy was temporarily removed from the tomb for the very first time whilst a CT scan was performed on the body. This demonstrated that the bone fragment was not suspicious, but did show a significant injury to the left leg that could have been the cause of Tutankhamun's untimely death.

Tutankhamun is believed to be murdered. Other researches show the evidence proving that Tutankhamun was injured during a hunting session.
